Inner Richmond Kitchen & Dining Room

We were thrilled to design this colorful kitchen and dining room for a young gourmet chef couple who love to entertain.

Having recently purchased their flat in the Richmond District of San Francisco, they wanted to add their own personality to their space. A primary goal was to create a more open flow for entertaining and achieve a true gourmet kitchen to explore their culinary passions.

We developed a design that reflected the 1916 home’s character, but added modern touches through lighting, furnishings, and decor that the couple loved. Handcrafted items were a major focus of the design, including custom white oak cabinetry, floating shelves, and handmade tile that brought warmth and charm to the space.

With the design finalized, we then connected our clients with the right General Contractor and talented Master Carpenter to collaborate with us and ensure the design vision was implemented flawlessly.

Finally, The Modern Vic selected furniture, lighting, decor, and wallpaper to complete their new kitchen and dining space to share with friends and family for years to come.
